With the month of April upon us, in my book it’s officially spring. Not to mention, April is my favorite month ever because my birthday is here. So I’ve decided to review my all time favorite movies. The first one we’re going to review is Cats & Dogs.

Have you ever wondered what happens when your animals are home alone for the day? This movie is the right answer. In this movie the dogs are now spies protecting humans from the evil cats who rule the world. The movie starts out with a bloodhound dog chasing a cat in the street and then being abducted by the cats. Then, a dog named Butch (voiced by Alec Baldwin) reports into the dog organization saying “you have a situation.” We soon find out that the bloodhound dog is at a important figures house: Professor Brody. We soon come to find out that Professor Brody( played by Jeff Goldblum) is working on a cure for people who have dog allergies.

Naturally the cats don’t want this to happen, which is why they kidnapped a dog in the first place. In the next scene, we see the dogs organize a adoption for the Brody Family. Mrs. Brody ( played by Elizabeth Perkins) comes looking for a new dog. Instead of picking one of the dogs selected by the Dog Council, she selected a American Beagle named Lou (played by Tobey Maguire). Whenever the Dog Council finds out, they tell Butch he must become an agent; so they can fight against the cats who are trying to destroy professor Brody’s work.

When I was a kid, this movie was really funny and held up. When I rewatched it recently, it has some ups and downs but all in all this movie pretty good when you babysitting a kid and they have a pet, it can have their mind racing. I’ll give this movie a 6.5 out of 10 for nostalgia course. Also the only reason I chose to review this movie is because I just got two baby puppies, and they’re super cute.
